The American Heart Association (AHA) reported that Heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of death, responsible for an estimated 17 million deaths every year worldwide. In the United States, cardiovascular disease is listed as the underlying cause of 840,678 deaths, approximately; 1 out of every 3. To increase awareness and bring about a social change within our community, Dr. Dionne Gibbs, known as Dr. D, hosted her inaugural Hampton Roads Health Symposium!

With a SOLD-OUT audience in attendance on February 29, 2020, the Inaugural Hampton Roads Health Symposium served entrepreneurs, health care providers, business owners, and individuals who desired to increase their knowledge about health and wellness. The day included five expert panels, a keynote speaker, a delicious lunch, over 20 health and wellness vendors, several wellness checks, special guests, and so much.

Also at the Symposium, Dr. D released her FIRST book entitled

"The Shades of LIFE That Revealed the SHE in ME.

A Journey to Discovery of SELF!"
